Our next task was to make Diva Lights. These are clay pots which are hung up to welcome Goddess Lakshmi.
Welcome to our Year 6 blog. This is a site for Pupils, Parents, Teachers and Governors to use to keep up to date with all that is going on in year 6.

Please have a look at some of these web sites.
Some pictures of Venice Carnevale
Some Bugs Bunny cartoon opera clips.
Many masks were used for disguise during Carnevale.....a feast held during February.
This festival still takes place today when Venetians and tourists all dress up in fantastic masks and costumes.
Some masks, like the one on the right, were worn by plague doctors, who filled their long noses with sweet smelling herbs to try to ward off the plague.
Our second challenge today was to become experts on pasta.
There are hundreds of different shapes of pasta, but we only had to identify 7!
In our groups we tried to place each type of pasta next to its name.
Once we had done this we made our Pasta Identification charts, which I am sure will be hung in kitchens all over Pontyclun!
