Rocket Launch 2012

This afternoon we launched our rockets.

The whole school gathered to watch.

The Alien Hotel was the winning design. Well done girls.

Stories about space 4

This morning, while some of the class were at athletics, we took our 'stories about space' down to the infants, where we read them to Nursery and Reception. They really enjoyed listening to our stories.

Year 6 really enjoyed playing on the infant equipment too!

Designing Aliens

Yesterday we watched 'A Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy'.

There were lots of aliens in the film.

Today we designed our own aliens and gave them special qualities!!!!!!!!

Stories about space

On Thursday we wrote stories about space.

They were written with an infant audience in mind.

Our final activity today was a quiz about SPACE!

Our winners were Space Cadets Go Blast Off.

After practising our compositions this morning, we performed them in front of each other.

On Friday, we will have to perform in front of all of the Juniors!

There will be a prize for the best Blast Off music.
