Food Technology.

Today we were visited by Dominic, the head chef of Jamie's in Cardiff and Ahmad who works 'front of house'. We were shown lots of different fruit and vegetables, including beetroot, fennel, black carrots and Amalfi lemons.
Dominic then made a Salate di Caprese out of heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella, shallots, basil, olive oil and salt.
We then had to design our own salads. The winners received a Jamie Oliver Cookbook.
He then made Isalata di Mele out of apple, beetroot, carrot, fennel and baby leaves. We tried both salads. They were delicious.
A big thank you must go to Mrs Barter who organized such a brilliant afternoon.
