Today was the start of our 'ROCKET WEEK'.

We began by getting into groups, naming our groups and naming our rockets.

We then had to design our rockets and draw a cross section of what they might contain.

Our next task was to begin a power point presentation about any aspect of space or space travel.

There will be various prizes given out at the end of the project.

This group of designers named themselves 'Nerds Go Wild in Space'.

Their rocket is called 'Millennium Falcon'.
Let's hope it flies like a bird...not a nerd!

This group named themselves 'Experience'.
Their rocket is called 'Flambard 3000'.

I hope experience counts girls!

This group called themselves A.K.A. after the initials of their names (actually it should have been O.K.A), but I liked the idea!

Their rocket is called United Kingdom.

I hope your rocket is A-O.K!

This group is called 'Moonlight Walkers'.
Their rocket is called 'Multiboom'.

Fingers crossed we have a 'Multiboom' when we launch our rockets on Wednesday!

Here are 'Hippies Gone Wild 123'.
Their rocket is called 'Rugby Boys Blast Off'.
Say no more..........

Introducing 'Ex-extreme'.
Their rocket is called 'Speedafire'.
I hope it is speedy, but relax parents, there is no fire involved. Our rockets are water powered!

Here are the 'Space Rangers'.
Their rocket is called 'Rock and Roll Rocket'.
We will test the range of your rocket on Wednesday!

This group is called 'Mystic Moon'.
Their rocket is called 'Sweet Strawberry Bang'.
I hope your blast off goes with a BANG!

Our final group called themselves 'Rocking Rockets'.
Their rocket is called 'Blast From The Past'.
This whole topic is like a blast from the past for me, as I do it every time Y6 go Skiing. I have secretly renamed your rocket 'Groundhog Day' (ask me to explain tomorrow)!
