I'm glad my music lessons are SO interesting......why is everyone sleeping????

Actually we were all listening to GAMELAN music.

GAMELAN music comes from Java and Bali.

We looked at some pictures of Gamelan instruments.

We listened to some more cyclic music patterns and sung them.

We then played some cyclic patterns on the tuned instruments and improvised on the drums.

Finally, we performed our pieces in front of the class.
