Today we were visited by two artefacts from World War 2...my parents Mr and Mrs Williams. My father was born in 1933 and my mother in 1936, so had plenty of memories to share.

J7 and J8 had prepared questions about the lives of children before and during the Second World War.

They asked questions about entertainment, food, evacuees, clothes, rationing and what it was like to live during the war.

Mr and Mrs Williams brought in some artefacts, as did some of the children.

We looked at an old record and were surprised at the size and weight of it....considering it only held two songs.

Kierryn brought in a ration book and an identity card for us to look at.

Alice and Bethan brought in photos and medals belonging to their grandfathers.

We also looked at other old photos and coins from the 1940's.

I am really pleased with the enthusiasm shown by the children and want to say a big thanks to those of you who have allowed us to show their precious family artefacts.
