Today we tried some food commonly eaten during World War Two.

John the Butcher got up early this morning to stuff and cook an ox heart for us!





We also tried tongue,









jellied veal,









Spam,








brawn,








faggots, toast with beef dripping and toast with malt extract,








apples with condensed milk........and finally............









cod liver oil!!!!!!!!!

Some things went down (and stayed down) better than others!
