In Maths today we had to find out who were the fastest runners in our class and calculate their speed.
We used the formula : speed = distance divided by time.
To calculate our speeds, we first had to measure the length of our track (the netball yard). We used meter rulers and chalk. We discovered that the yord was 25m long.
We then ran the length of the yard, while Mrs Davies timed us with a stopwatch.
Using calculaters we then worked out our speeds.
Well done Josh and Emily, who were our fastest runners
