In English this morning we played a game using connectives.

Mrs Davies placed 30 connectives in an envelope. We had to pull out one connective each and then write a sentence containing the connective on our 'SHOW ME' boards.

We then listened to the sentences that had been written and had to decide whether the connective had been used correctly.

We tried to include issues involving Euro Disney in our sentences.

We repeated this several times and then faced the challenge of writing a SUPER SENTENCE using a connective of our choice.

Here are three examples:

'When Disneyland is built, it will be a great tourist attraction, moreover, it will provide jobs for workers.' Fiona

'People can go to Disneyland, or alternatively they could go to the fascinating Eiffel Tower.' Spencer

'Workers can't wait to build Disneyland, whereas French locals hate the idea.' Ella
